A Karachi-based organization is looking to hire a Junior Management Legal professional for its Company Secretariat department. The ideal candidate must be experienced in corporate law, SECP regulations, PSX rules, and public sector governance. This role supports legal and regulatory compliance across all corporate governance areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with laws like the Companies Act, SOE Act, Securities Act, SECP directives, and PSX Rule Book.
- Provide legal advisory for corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory issues.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents, contracts, and reports.
- Assist in Board and Shareholder meetings, filing with SECP/PSX, and liaising with legal advisors and authorities.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, and litigation.
- Identify legal risks, enforce ethical standards, and monitor regulatory changes.
- Ensure timely dissemination of legal information to stakeholders.
- Support external/internal audits on legal and compliance matters.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum 16 years (LLB from HEC-recognized university). LLM/Solicitor/Bar at law is a plus.
- Experience: 3–4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1–2 years in corporate law at a listed company or law firm.
- Age: Preferably under 33 years.
- Skills: Deep understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal frameworks.
